Nigeria’s men basketball team has finally been defeated after securing back to back wins against the USA and Argentina.

D’tigers lost to no 3 ranked basketball team in the world Australia in an exhibition match in Las Vegas.

Australia who won their third game in a row handed Mike Brown his first loss since taking over as the coach of D’tigers in 2020.

The match started with D’tigers paying tribute to recently deceased Nigeria music legend Sound Sultan.

The Aussies displayed their dominance from the first quarter, establishing a 13-point lead as it ended 26-13.

The amazing performance of the Australians was taken into the second quarter as the lead was extended to 20 points (49-29).

In the third quarter, things became was for the D’tigers as they struggled to keep up with Australian stars (84-46).

The exhibition match ended 108-69 as the Australian’s did enough to send Mike Brown back to the drawing board.

This is the Aussies third win in a row and it was largely driven by an amazing performance from Chris Gouding who scored 21 points.

D’tigers are set to face Australia in their first game at the Olympics on July 25 and they’ll be hoping for a better performance against the basketball giants.
