Nigeria’s men basketball team appear to be unstoppable right now.
D’tigers showed tremendous zeal as they defeated the fourth-ranked basketball nation in the world Argentina.
D’tigers put up a dominant display as that continued their preparation for Tokyo 2020 Olympics with a 94-71 win at the exhibition in Las Vegas on Monday.
Although the Argentines started on a stronger note by leading in the first quarter 19-17, D’tigers bounced back in the second quarter and took a 10-point lead as it ended 43-33.
Precious Achiuwa was instrumental in the resurgence, having the highest rebound in the second quarter.
Jahil Okafor who was absent in the recent win against the united states also played well, finishing with 15 points and seven rebounds.
On the other team’s end, Nicolás Laprovíttola led the Argentines scoring in the first half with 8 points.
The team stepped up their performance in the third quarter by extending the gap to 74-55.
They continued with the same swagger in the final quarter to finish the game 94-71.
D’tigers win is coming 3 days after defeating the United States 90-87 in an exhibition match.
