
Governor Sanwo Olu to Contest for 2nd Term in Lagos

Governor Sanwo Olu has declared his intention to seek re-election in the 2023 Lagos State Gubernatorial election.

The Lagos State governor picked up his Nomination and Expression of Interest forms for APC on Friday.

This comes after the Lagos State Governor’s Advisory Council gave a nod to a second term bid.
Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo Olu has officially entered the contest for the 2023 Gubernatorial election in Lagos state.
Sanwo-Olu picked up the All Progressive Congress’s governorship nomination and expression of interest forms at the APC national secretariat in Abuja on Friday. The forms were collected by Hon. James Faleke, of the Ikeja Federal Constituency on the governor’s behalf.

Faleke was also accompanied by the former Secretary to the Government, Mr. Babachir Lawal, and hundreds of members of Tinubu’s Support Groups. The forms were presented to Governor Sanwo Olu at the Lagos Governor’s Lodge, Asokoro, Abuja.
The governor’s bid for re-election comes only a few days after he was unanimously endorsed for a second term by the Governance Advisory Council.

Meanwhile, Dapo Abiodun will also be seeking re-election as the governor of Ogun State in the 2023 elections. The governor received the sum of N50 million in donations from political leaders and businessmen from the Ogun State West Senatorial district. The donation was rendered to support the campaign expenses for the governor’s second term in office.

Dapo Abiodun officially declared his intention to run for a second term while hosting the DA Mandate Group from Remoland on Thursday. On that day, he was presented with a cheque of N50 million to purchase his nomination form
