ENDSARS Protesters Must Face Prosecution – Festus Keyamo

Human right lawyer, Festus Keyamo (SAN) has insisted that all ENDSARS protesters must be prosecuted.

The Minister of State for Labour made this disclosure while reacting to US Capitol invasion on Wednesday.

It could be recalled that the ENDSARS demonstration calling for the end to police brutality resulted to violence and destruction of public assets.

 

Festus Keyamo has opined that Nigerians who led the #ENDSARS nationwide protests demanding reformation in the police must be prosecuted.

Mr Keyamo, a Minister of State for Labour and Employment stated this on Sunday, January 10 while reacting to the U.S capitol invasion by pro-Trump supporters.

In a bid to stop congress ftom certifying Joe Biden’s November 3 rectorial victory, Trump urged his base to rally to the US Capitol and stop the process.

The development had bolster president Muhammadu Buhari’s resolve to control the freedom of speech and social media usage in the country.

According to Festus Keyamo, the President will ensure persecution of the masterminds of the protest that resulted looting of private businesses and destruction of public properties.

Festus Kayemo who made a name as a social critic until he joined the government said the #ENDSARS protest was entire based on falsehood, but he didn’t actually mention what was false.
