Femi Fani Kayode has rejoined the APC after denying that he was set to make the switch for months.
The former minister of aviation opened up about the reason for his switch during an interview with journalists on Thursday.
After the politician was presented by to President Buhari by the caretaker chairman of the APC, Governor Mala Buni of Yobe State, he stated that it was time to “move Nigeria forward”.
According to FFK, he decided to defect in a bid to put Nigeria first and work with the current government.
The former minister also praised the current administration’s effort in the fight against terrorism and insurgency.
“The point is that I felt it was time to do the right thing, to put Nigeria first and appreciate the efforts that have been made, particularly in the last couple of years in terms of security; fighting insurgency and terrorism,”
Femi Fani Kayode also advised Nigerians to work together to salvage the country from those who want to destroy it.

“The most important thing is for us to understand the fact that Nigeria must not disintegrate and those that want us to end up fighting one another in a war, will be put to shame.”
FFK was a member of the PDP until 2013 when he switched to the APC, but he was only there until 2014, then returned to PDP.
