Flagship cryptocurrency Bitcoin opened in the red on Friday morning as the coin has lost 1.17% of its value in the last 24 hours.
The current value of the world’s number one cryptocurrency is $47,700, with a market cap of $898 billion.
The second-largest cryptocurrency by market cap Ethereum is also down in the last 24 hours. Ether lost 3.23% of its value from yesterday, dropping to $3515.
Overall, the global market cap of cryptocurrencies is also down by 2.25%, falling to $2.15 trillion.
In the last 24 hours, there has been some consolidation in the crypto market, after two straight days of rally in which Bitcoin reached $48,400.
The world’s number one cryptocurrency remains some way off its all-time high of $64,000 which was attained in April.
Meanwhile, the global accordance of cryptocurrencies among the top companies appears to be growing.
Famous entertainment company AMC recently announces that it will begin accepting cryptocurrencies for payment in its movie theaters.
According to AMC CEO Adam Aron, movie theaters will now accept BTC, Ethereum, Litecoin, and Bitcoin Cash for tickets and concession payments.
