-Last Night February 21st, was the 14th edition of HipTV’s Headies award, one of the most prestigious music awards in Nigeria

-Many stars of the country graced the occasion to receive their awards and also perform

-Some of the big winners on the night were Fireboy DML, Wizkid, and Omah Lay

The 14th edition of the Headies award was one for Fireboy DML to remember. The YBNL signee equaled the record (5) for the most award received in a single night.

Fireboy won the award for the Best R&B single, Best R&B Album, Best Pop, Headies, Revelation of the year, and Album of the year.

Star boy, Wizkid won one of the most prestigious awards of the show, Artiste of the year along with a Viewers choice award.

The award show which had a lot of hiccups was criticized due to technical difficulties that were faced.

PortHarcourt-born musician won the next rated award, a category in which he was nominated with Bella Shmurda, Oxlade, and Tems.

Music legend, King Sunny Ade was also inducted into the Hiptv Hall of Fame on the night.

It was also restricted from streaming platforms for a while which caused viewers to miss some parts of the Headies award.
