2022 Headies Award Nominations: Wizkid, Davido and Burna Boy Make List

The 2022 Headies Award Nomination list is out and it’s already drawing mixed reactions from fans all over the country.

Ayo Animashaun, the Headies awards founder, and Executive Producer had earlier today announced that the Headies awards for this year 2022 would be leaving the axis of Nigeria and are set to hold in Atlanta Georgia, on September 4th,  2022.

On 22nd May 2022, He had earlier hinted through his verified Twitter account that the nomination list for the 2022 headies award would be revealed today. 

These announcements have sparked reactions among music enthusiast in Nigeria as they anticipate winners for this year’s headies which looks highly competitive. 

As expected, Davido, Wizkid, Olamide, and Burna Boy, popularly referred to as the big four all made the nomination list. The list also comprises musicians with outstanding songs during the year.

Below are some of the nomination categories for the 2022 Headies Award:

~  SONGWRITER OF THE YEAR

The winner would emerge based on the judges’ discretion and not via votes.
