Renowned singer, Waje has showered encomiums on her daughter, Emerald, celebrating her as she turns 18 today.
The singer whose vocal range covers three octaves, took to her Instagram page to celebrate her daughter.
Waje wrote: “I woke up at 12 midnight to pray for my daughter and could only just thank God for giving me this gift.
“We are 18 today and my prayer is that you shine in everything you do, that the lord will be your master and He will give u wisdom as your journey.
“I use u as a point of contact to all young adults (your friends etc), that the grace to be leaders and great ambassadors of your family and country will be given to thee and you will lack nothing.Happy birthday my love.
“Thank you for coming to earth through me. Thank you for being the curious multi talented, well behaved child. You are such a light and i pray it never dims. #ugogbe,” Waje added.
Last year, the 36-year-old mother of one threw Emerald a fancy poolside party for her 17th birthday.

Meanwhile, before now, recall that Waje had opened up on her misgivings in life as a single mother, stressing that her daughter will not make the same mistakes she made by being put in the family way outside wedlock.
In an interview, the singer had revealed: “It is because I don’t want her to make the same mistakes I made. I feel like some of the decisions I made was because I was raised differently.
“Our parents taught us what they knew as the truth, but what you know as the truth might not be the truth. Another thing is that parents do not tell their children why certain behaviours should be avoided.”
