Popular stand up comedian, Bovi, has responded to Nigerians who called him out for making a joke out of singer, Banky W’s engagement to actress, Adesua Etomi. The rib cracker came under bashing for the marriage jokes he did at his ‘Man On Fire’ Show. He said the singer was friend zoned by Etomi for more than a year because he slid into her DM as a comedian, not a singer. If you don’t understand my jokes, go and eat shit – Bovi blasts haters.
Bovi said Adesua was thinking it was him (Bovi) not Banky toasting her, not until the singer’s mum told him to sing to Adesua which he did, then she fell in love. He also joked about how Banky spelled “Marry” as “Maary”, saying “the marriage already has problems from the wrong spelling.”
According to him, marriage is serious work and Banky spelling ”Maary” instead of “marry” during his proposal” is something they need to fix. He also noted that it’s either Banky is dyslexic, an inability to read, write or spell well or the spelling mistake was caused by over excitement. The video of Bovi’s show went viral and some Nigerians did not digest it well. An Instagram user blasted him over his jokes. An Instagram User @cutie_bee30, who took the jokes personal, called Bovi a Bastard and other users queued up to lambast the comedian.
But Bovi is unperturbed by their insults as he has given an epic response to his critics. He shared his picture on Instagram and wrote: “My face when they tell me to apologize over a joke they didn’t understand. Read my lips.. “eat ****”.

Did he mean ‘eat shit?’ Lol. Obviously, you guys might need to chill out because Bovi ‘nor send una’. So, the way things are going in Nigeria, a comedian cannot crack jokes? What is comedy? If you find out the meaning, (I mean Google it, incase you don’t know), you will have no reason to insult a comedian whose profession is to make light of situations. Even the parties involved have not said a word about it, ‘na others dey swallow their panadol’. Lol.
