Song Theft: Apologize to me, stop false statements or face legal consequences – 2face comes for Blackface

The song theft saga between former members of the now defunct ‘Plantanshun boiz’, Blackface and 2face seems to have escalated into another height. This is just as the music legend, 2face, has demanded apology from Blackface. The fuss between the pair have gone on for quite a while. It all started after Blackface accused the ‘African Queen’ crooner of of intellectual theft. Blackface insisted that 2face stole his song ‘Let Somebody Love You.’ 2face comes for Blackface.

2face comes for BlackfaceJust recently, Blackface explained why he dragged his former team mate, 2face to court. The ‘Erima’ crooner said he has considered taking legal actions against 2face who acts holy yet stole his song. According to the ‘Hard Life’ songster, 2face owes his success to him as he is responsible for writing most of his hit songs, an allegation that has constantly surrounded the 2005 MTV Europe Music Awards winner.

Blackface has been going at 2face for years, with his latest tirade coming off the heels of the 2017 remake of African Queen which he claimed to have written. In another rant, Blackface said 2face is filled with hate and envy and he also claimed that he saved him (2face) from incarceration.

All the while, despite all the rants from Blackface, 2face seemed to have been unperturbed. 2face, who is slow to respond or never does at all, spoke with Moet Abebe on “The Takeover Show” at SoundCity 98.5fm. When asked if there would ever be peace between him and former Plantashun Boiz member, Blackface, 2face said: “Wetin be that? I don’t want to talk about Blackface here mehn. For real.”

In another twist, however, 2face, through a letter, addressed to Blackface by his lawyers, demanded an unreserved apology from the singer for his defamatory remarks about him (2face) and his manager Efe Omorogbe. In the letter dated May 5th, 2017, Blackface, real names “Ahmedu Augustine” may face legal consequences if he doesn’t apologize and refrain from making further false statements about 2face.
