Daughter of renowned Nollywood actor, Segun Arinze has dragged him to the mud for daring to wish her a happy birthday. Arinze’s daughter, Renny, turned 20 on Tuesday and her father took to his Instagram page to wish his “now adult daughter” a happy birthday. It seems the daughter did not take it lightly as she lambasted him. Why I mercilessly blasted my dad, Segun Arinze on Instagram.
Is there a bad blood between Segun Arinze and his daughter or ex-wife, Ann Njemanze? Ms. Njemanze is also a renowned Nollywood actress who rose to stardom for her role in ‘Domitila’. Segun and Ann were lovers in the early years of Nollywood; they later got married and had a daughter, who happens to be Renny. But several years ago, the marriage between the Nollywood stars ended. They both went their separate ways and remarried.
From all indications, the actor has not been there for his daughter, more like playing a fatherly role for her because the response he got from her for wishing her a happy birthday, is quite bizarre.
As Renny turned 20, Arinze wrote this on Instagram:
“Wow! Time sure does fly! My Daughter Renny is 20!! I wish you great wisdom, good health, long life, deep knowledge and whatever you lay your hands on will prosper. You will be a role model to your peers. Ann God bless you for doing a great job! Happy Birthday Renny.”

But later on, Renny came to her Father’s Instagram Page and left the below comments:
“What’s the meaning of this Sir? You didn’t tag me you don’t know my IG handle either. You’ve tagged other people and bloggers and you didn’t even have the courtesy to call me to wish me a happy birthday and you’re doing this online? What a pity. I would overly appreciate it if you stopped this. God bless.
One more thing sir, my mothers name is spelt “Anne” not Ann. stop being the rain on my parade and stop spreading lies. I have never insulted you. STOP THESE LIES,” she blasted.
Oh, how sad!
With the development, popular Cool FM OAP, Daddy Freeze decided to intervene putting up a screenshot of the incident on his own page and wrote:

“Tackle your father with love and respect and your children will reciprocate. Dear Renny, whatever you do, don’t fight your parents battles on their behalf, make peace with both and all will be well. Love your dad, despite whatever you feel he may have done and love your mum too. I know you must be bearing hurt and grief, and I in no way undermine your pain. However, please if you ever see this, heed my instruction and all will be worked out by God, stay blessed.”
