Sadio Mane: Bayern Munich Readies New Bid for Liverpool Star Player

• German Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich are set to come up with another offer for Sadio Mane after their opening bid was rejected by Liverpool. 

• Mane, with over 100 goals for Liverpool in over 200 appearances is on the verge of leaving the club this summer putting an end to a six-year stint at the club.

• The 30-years old Senegalese international has one year left on his current contract with Liverpool and it is looking highly unlikely he would sign a contract extension. 

Bayern Munich is not relenting in their pursuit of Liverpool’s winger Sadio Mane despite having their opening bid turned down. The first bid is estimated to be around £21million up front with another £4million.

The Bundesliga champions are already arranging a second improved offer that is said to be worth around a fixed fee of £30million with £4.2million in potential bonuses.

Despite the initial rejection, Bayern Munich has high hopes that their second offer will meet Liverpool’s demand and that an agreement would soon be reached by both parties. 

Discussing his side’s potential swoop for the winger, Bayern president Herbert Hainer told German outlet BILD:

 “If we want a player, we can get him. But he has to suit us.”

With just one year remaining in the 30-years old contract at Liverpool, Sadio Mane has been linked with a move away from Liverpool after an impressive 6-years stint on Merseyside.

Earlier this week, the winger hinted that he would follow the wishes of his nation’s fans by leaving the Reds after registering 120 goals in 269 appearances with the club. He however later claimed that was only joking with those comments and maintains full respect for Liverpool.

It is reported that Juventus and Real Madrid are also interested in a move for the winger but his preferred destination is Germany with Bayern likely being his next home.
