Romelu Lukaku Transfer: Inter Milan Set to Make New Offer For Chelsea Forward
-
Inter Milan wants former striker Romelu Lukaku to return to the club after a disappointing spell at Chelsea.
-
The Italian football team wants to offer 85 million GBP over 2 years for the 29-year-old.
-
Inter CEO Giuseppe Marotta, however, warned that the club is in “no rush” to complete the return of the player.
Inter Milan met with Romelu Lukaku’s lawyer on Tuesday to discuss the feasibility of a return to the Serie A, according to Sky Italia.
Lukaku completed a move to Stamford Bridge for 97.5 million GBP last summer but has failed to perform up to expectations. The player admitted that he desires a return to Inter Milan during a controversial interview with Sky in December.
Inter CEO Giuseppe Marotta says that the club is in “no rush” to seal the return of the player but they remain keen on signing him in the summer transfer window.
Marotta claims that the club would struggle to pay anything close to the fee that Chelsea paid for the Belgian a year ago.
Inter wants to sign a forward this summer and Marotta says that he hopes the club can sign Paulo Dybala, who recently left Juventus after the expiry of his contract.
The Mirror claims that Inter Milan would be willing to offer 85 million GBP over 2 years for the 29-year-old but want him to cut his current 200,000 GBP wage.

The Italians want to offer 20 million GBP to take him on loan for a year, and then complete the deal with an additional payment of 65 million GBP.
Meanwhile, former Chelsea striker, Tony Cascarino has advised the club to sign Bayern Munich attacker, Robert Lewandowski to replace struggling Romelu Lukaku.
Rober Lewandowski has a year left on this Bayern Munich contract and the forward has made it clear that he wants to leave.
