A top health official has disclosed that Nigeria is set to receive 4 million doses of the COVID 19 vaccine by August.
This was reported by China Global Television Network (CGNT) on Tuesday.
The expected round of vaccines will be the second batch to be delivered into the country through the COVAX initiative.
COVID-19 Vaccines Global Access (COVAX) is an initiative that was developed to ensure equitable distribution of COVID 19 vaccines across low-income countries.
80 million vaccines have already been distributed through the initiative across Africa, South America, North America, and Asia.

The boss of the National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA) Faisal Shuaib also told reporters in Abuja has been in communication with COVAX for tbs delivery of the vaccines between July and August.
Mr Shuaib also disclosed that the government plans to secure another 29.8 million doses of the J&J vaccine through the African Union Commission.
Since the first case was recorded, infected 167,467 have been infected with COVID 19 in Nigeria while 2,119 have died from the virus.
