
Notorious B.I.G NFT Collection Launched 25 Years After Murder

It’s been 25 years since the passing of legendary rapper Christopher Wallace, popularly known The Notorious B.I.G, and his estate is to create an NFT collection in his honor. The Web3 company, OneOf announced that it was partnering to launch the NFT in a statement that was released on Wednesday (March 9).
The digital tokens will be used to mark the 25th anniversary of Biggie’s death as he was killed in a drive-by shooting on March 9, 1997. It also celebrates the anniversary of the rapper’s posthumous album, “Life After Death” which was released 16 days after his passing.
The release date of the NFT collection has not been announced but the Web3 company disclosed that proceeds from the sale will be donated to the Christopher Wallace Memorial Foundation, which was created in honor of Biggie.
A statement released by Notorious B.I.G’s mother reads:
“We are excited about our partnership with OneOf and their expertise to memorialize my son Christopher with this first official NFT drop to give his fans an opportunity to participate in and honor their love of him and music”
Fans can register for updates about the NFT drop, pending its release on OneOf’s official website.
