Yesterday was filled with drama, thanks to allegations that were levelled against a Nigerian police chief, Abba Kyari.
Kyari was accused of receiving money from fraudster Ramon Abbas AKA Hushpuppi to arrest one Vincent Chibuzor.
Kyari has however continued to maintain his innocence and he has the support of many, including the Inspector General.

1. Abba Kyari is 46 years old. The police chief was born on March 17, 1975.
2. Kyari is a deputy commissioner of the Nigerian police force. The accused is also a member of the Nigerian Police’s Intelligence Response Team at the headquarters in Abuja.
3. Before Kyari was appointed IGP-IRT, he was in the Lagos state police command where he was the officer in charge of the highly dreaded Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS).
4. Kyari gained more recognition for his huge role in the apprehension of Kindnapoing bosses such as Evans and Wadume.
5. Abba Kyari has been in the police force for 21 years, having been admitted into the Police Academy in Wudil, Kano State in 2000.
