President Muhammadu Buhari’s wife, Aisha, has denied allegations made by Senator Isah Misau representing Bauchi Central, that the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Ibrahim Idris approved two jeeps for her. Aisha Buhari replies Senator Misau.
Recall that Senator Misau was arraigned by the Federal Government recently before an Abuja High Court on a five count charge bothering on alleged injurious falsehood against the IGP, NPF, and the Police Service Commission, PSC.

Misau, while speaking to a committee investigating his accusations against the police boss, said he has documents which disclosed that Mrs. Buhari requested for vehicles from Idris.
The documents before the court stated that the vehicles – Toyota Hiace and a Sienna jeep, were approved for the President’s wife early this year, in response to a request signed by one SP Sani M. Baba-Inna, ADC to the wife of the President.
In the letter, dated January 17, 2017 and addressed to the IGP, the ADC requested for Toyota Sienna Space bus and Toyota Hiace Bus to compliment the vehicles attached to Her Excellency, the wife of the President.

The ADC further stated in the request letter that the said vehicles, if approved, will be used to support Her Excellency’s private movement and utilities. In a response to the request, the Office of the IGP on January 18, 2017 directed the Force Transport Officer to provide two Jeeps for the wife of the President.
“…And it is not part of the appropriation. If you look at the appropriation, there is nowhere they said the First Lady should be given two jeeps,” he said.
But in her response on Thursday, Aisha denied any such thing. She simply tweeted via her handle: “I am still using my personal cars.”
