‘Who Wants to be a Millionaire’ Returns After 5 Years Off-screen

  • Popular reality TV show ‘Who Wants to be a Millionaire’ is set to return to our TV screen after almost 5 years off
  • Former show host and broadcaster, Frank Edoho will return as the anchor for the television game show
  • The organisers of the show have upped the cash prize to be won from N10 million to over N20 million

Popular show host and presenter Frank Edoho is set to return as the anchor of ‘Who Wants to be a Millionaire’ after the show was announced to be returning.

An announcement regarding the return of the show that went off air in 2017 was made at the Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos.
The organisers disclosed that the ultimate prize to be won has been upped to N20 million and the show will be brodcasted for 52 weeks.

 

Who wants to be a millionaire

The new addition tagged ‘The Rebirth’, will feature another lifeline that will allow contestants to ask the host when they don’t know the answer to a question.
The regular lifelines from previous editions- ‘50-50’, ‘Phone a friend’ and ‘Ask the audience’ will also be available in this new edition.

The first version of the show came to an end in 2017 after Frank Edoho announced that he was quitting after failing to reach an agreement with the organisers. Before it went off 5 years ago, the show had been airing for 13 years.

This edition of ‘Who Wants to be a Millionaire’ is sponsored by payments and financial technology firm, UP, in collaboration with the producers BLK Hut.
