Popular Nigerian singer Akinmayokun Awodumila popularly known as May D’s marriage to wife, Carolina Wassmuth, is officially over.
The Chop My Money crooner who had a child out of the marriage shared the not-so-good news via his Twitter page on Monday, September 28, 2020.
According to him, he is single and free.
“I’m single Again and free! For over 15 years I have always been in a relationship I think I need to be alone for some time!” he tweeted.
The singer who was once famed under the tutelage of twin super star P Square and their elder brother turned manager Jude Okoye had a collaboration with Granny Winning artist Akon until his career took a dip after falling out with the trio the Okeye brothers.
May D eventually left the North Side records and for a long time was operating outside the limelight until early 2020 when he went on a twitter storm and called out his former record label. But even that, could not help resurrect his fading music career.
May D got married to his Swedish wife, Wassmuth, back in 2018 and the couple welcomed their first child together that same year.
Now that the talented artist is single and burdened with a career hanging on the balance, many nay still be eagerly looking forward to his plan.
