The aftermath of the Big Brother Naija television reality show has always been trailed with controversies but the one that has seen two state government laying claims to the tax returns of the show winner was the least expected.
The Ogun State Internal Revenue Service has requested Olamilekan Agbelesebioba, popularly known as Laycon, the winner of the 2020 edition of the BBN show to pay his tax in the state in 2021.
This came within the space of some hours after the Lagos State Internal Revenue Service made the same demand from Laycon thereby stirring up banters on social media.
The 2020 edition tagged Lockdown came to an end on Sunday, September 27 that saw Laycon defeating 19 other housemates within 70 days in the Big Brother House to win the grand prize worth N85million.
Laycon who’s originally from Ogun State is a resident of Lagos State and graduated from the University of Lagos, a federal university in Lagos State.
The Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, had earlier in the week congratulated Laycon, affirming that the youths in Africa see him as the face of positive revolution in the history of African entertainment.
