Carrying one baby seems likes a lot of work but have you considered how it would feel to carry 9.
A Malian woman, Halima Cisse had this experience, as she birthed 9 babies in Morocco on Tuesday.
The news was passed by Mali’s health ministry who stated that the mother gave birth via cesarian section.
Halima was flown to Morocco in March 2021, and the doctors believed that the mother was carrying septuplets.
Imagine their shock on the delivery day when they found two more kids in her womb.
Mali’s Health Minister Fanta Siby has confirmed that both the mother and her children are doing fine.
Halima and her nine babies are expected to return to their home country in the coming weeks.

Cases of nonuplets are very rare and the birth has proven to be difficult.
In Australia in 1971, a 29-year-old woman gave birth to nine children but none of them survived after birth.
Another similar case happened in Malaysia in 1999 when a mother lost her 5 boys and 4 girls after birth.
