Jobberman (The biggest job placement website in sub-Saharan Africa, is partnering with the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) to train 120,000 corp members annually.

It’s a new initiative to fight down the level of unemployment and underemployment in Nigeria.

Based on NAN (News Agency of Nigeria), Jobberman revealed this in a statement released on Tuesday, May 25, 2021, stating that these free soft skills training course will be held in every NYSC camps across the country.

Rolake Rosiji (Jobberman CEO), stated that the importance of the collaboration will be transformation for Nigeria’s economy and the youth.

She said, “NYSC resonates with all Nigerians and is a homegrown partnership that Jobberman is very proud to have established.

The mission to develop a skilled and outstanding workforce to help NYSC achieve its aim, they have developed a reputation of building and growing the development of Nigeria Youths to improve the country.

She stated that the corp members would be trained in aspects like presentation skills, emotional intelligence and personal effectiveness highlighting that more than 60,000 employers of labour are connected to them. This will help present employable candidates to some of Nigeria’s most reputable companies.

Mr Rasak Salawu (NYSC Director of CDS and Special Projects) stated that NYSC’s collaboration with Jobberman will boost youth employment in Nigeria through hybrid and digitally-enabled training.

Also, he said that this is an opportunity offered to graduates from different schools and backgrounds in Nigeria and abroad.

Since Jobberman inaugurated the soft training programme in May 2020, during the pandemic, about 100,000 youths have been unskilled.

The Company has placed 60% of the people who completed the course in respectable employment.
