The governor of Oyo state, Seyi Makinde has decided to compensate the families of slain victims in the #Endsar protests.
This promise was made after the governor visited the family of Jimoh Isiaka who was shot during the protest. Makinde was accompanied by the Speaker of Oyo state House of Assembly, Mr. Adebo Ogundoyin as well as other lawmakers.
The Governor expressed his displease at the state of the country, stating that the inadequacy of employment for youths may have consequences if not addressed promptly.
Seyi Makinde ordered the release of N1 million to compensate the family of Jimoh Isiaka and other victims of the protest.
Governor Makinde also allowed the release of N100 million for the renovation of the Soun’s Palace. The Soun of Ogbomoso’s palace was vandalized by youths in the community to express their displease at the loss of lives.
