There’s more to DJ Cuppy than just being a DJ. This young woman whose birth name is Florence Ifeoluwa Otedola had every opportunity to be a spoilt brat but she chose to do something with her life and make a name for herself. Some people’s parents are not as rich as her billionaire father Femi Otedola (S1.8B as of 2016… est 2017 $800m #NairaDonKillMarket) but they are rotten beyond repair.
DJ Cuppy was born in Lagos Nigeria and had lived in Illupeju and Ikeja before moving to London to write her GCSE’s and A-Levels. She currently holds a degree in Business and Economics from Kings College in 2014 and bagged her Master’s degree in Music Business in 2016.
I must say that this incredibly beautiful DJ is a role model for every Nigerian child. I am completely mesmerized by her person. She could have chosen to live on her father’s health but she decided to make her own and also leave a legacy for herself. Do you know that most children from rich homes do not beat their father’s success and often times, when he is gone, his name completely fizzles out? But I doubt that will be the case with Femi Otedola’s family.

Who Is DJ Cuppy @cuppymusic – Some of Her Achievements:
By her efforts, she was featured in the 2015 April/May issue of Forbes Woman Africa, Cuppy was featured on the cover of the Guardian Life to celebrate a new generation of African women, in March 2015, Cuppy was named the official DJ for the 2015 Oil Barons Charity in Dubai, and became the first African act to have ever performed at the event.

In April 2014, DJ Cuppy was appointed by Nigeria’s Minister of Tourism, Culture and National Orientation (Edem Duke) as the tourism ambassador for the country’s “Fascinating Nigeria” campaign. Also, in 2014 she was the resident DJ at the MTV Africa Music Awards in Durban. She then played at the Tatler and Christie’s Art Ball in London, and at the Financial Times Luxury Summit in Mexico City. Wow!
She has been able to achieve all these, just at the age of 24 (11 November 1992). Usually at this age, most Nigerian youth have no idea what they want to do with their lives. Nobody should dare say that she got all these because of her father’s wealth, she worked for it. Imagine if all she does is go to parties, get drunk and misbehave, Forbes won’t carry her; we all know that.
This amazing woman released her first compilation called House of Cuppy in 2014. First, in London and Lagos and later launched in New Youth on September 2, 2014.
Who Is DJ Cuppy @cuppymusic – Her Family History:
Other than her father, Chairman Forte Oil Plc Femi Otedola and her mother, business mogul, Nana Otedola, DJ Cubby has four (4) siblings Olawumni Christy Otedola, Temi Otedola, Prince Otedola and Fewa Otedola.
Her grand-father late Sir Michael Otedola was former Oyo State Governor, between, 1992 -1993. Hmmmm, royalty sure runs in the blood. I want to believe that Femi Otedola Out did his father and I am hoping that DJ Cuppy will do likewise. The joy of every parent is that their children be greater right?
About her love life; information has it that she is/was in a relationship with Footballer, Victor Anichebe. Much has not being said recently about her relationship.
There is no saying what wonders we can do if we set our heart to anything. DJ Cuppy is the definition of Wonder Woman.
