Audu Maikori Finally Released From DSS After 24hrs
For the past 24hrs, Audu Maikori has been trending. This was after he was picked by DSS upon making comments on his social media about the killings in Kaduna. Just late this evening; Audu Maikori finally released from DSS after 24hrs.
Two weeks ago Audu was criticized for tweeting about the death of students for which he later apologized to the College of Education in Gidan-Waya, Kaduna and the Kaduna State Government, for sending out false information about an attack on the school.
His fans on social media immediately launched a campaign on #FreeAudu upon finding out about his arrest. Nigerians wouldn’t let this one be as this administration is getting used to harassing citizens for exercising their human rights.

His release was confirmed on Twitter as commendations go to his lawyer Barr. Mark Jacob for his good work and to all well meaning Nigerians who lend their voices the way they knew how.
Details of what happened during his detention has not been revealed.
Audu Maikori is a Nigerian lawyer, entrepreneur, social activist and public speaker. He is the founder and former CEO of Chocolate City, a Nigerian label which has under its umbrella some of the brilliant Naija artists of today including MI and Ice prince.
