The NBC, according to PT, had reportedly placed a ban on five Nigerian songs from being aired across the Nigerian airwaves. Although, the NBC had debunked the viral report, dissociating itself from the ban report. The Director of Broadcast Monitoring, Idachaba Armstrong said that a ban notice of the 5 songs did not emanate from the NBC.
He said, “First of all, NBC is a commission, not a corporation. Nobody at NBC issued a statement to the effect. We can’t be issuing a statement on every album released in his country. The broadcaster has the responsibility to do the needful. It’s not our job.”

“NBC does not ban songs, we don’t have any business with the artistes. It is left for NBC to tell stations to ensure the songs and videos are fit for broadcast before putting them on air.”
But in this new interview with HipTV, 9ice, who had kept mum over the incident, said NBC should be ready as he has even more songs for them to ban.
He said, “After the ban there was another letter that the song was not banned. But I am thanking the NBC for the ban, because after the ban the song go blow so NBC I am releasing more songs soon that you guys will have to ban.”
