Popular Nollywood actor, Yul Edochie, on Thursday emerged flag bearer for Democratic People’s Congress party for the upcoming Anambra state gubernatorial election. Yul Edochie wins Democratic People’s Congress primary election.
Shortly after the primary election was held yesterday, Edochie shared photos on his Instagram page with the caption:

“And I won the party primaries today to become the flag bearer of the DPC. DEMOCRATIC PEOPLE’S CONGRESS.
I give God almighty all the glory and I thank everyone who made it possible. And to all who have placed their hopes and trust in me, I will not let you down.

“It’s time for the youths, time for the masses. We are taking the Government house of Anambra State come November 2017 and we will run a Government that will put the welfare of the masses first. Our Victory is the people’s Victory. Www.yuledochieforgovernor.com,” he added.
Like a joke, the actor declared his intentions to run for Governor of Anambra State. The actor, who is a son of legendary actor, Pete Edochie, made this known via his Instagram page.

He shared a poster featuring a photo of himself with the caption: Yul Edochie to run for Governor of Anambra State.
“My name is Yul Edochie. And I’m running for Governor of Anambra State. 2017.#TheLastBusStop.”

He equally stated that Nigerians need a new brand of leaders who will put the masses first, hammering that the older ones have failed the country.
In his words, “We need a new brand of Leaders who will put the masses first. The older ones have failed us for too long… They have come to THE LAST BUS STOP!!!”
And of course, some Nigerians drummed support for him, saying it was high time Nigeria had an intelligent, energetic, young and vibrant youth who will help address our political system for a viable economy.
