
Stephen Curry Confirms Partnership With Major Metaverse Giants
Professional basketball player, Stephen Curry has confirmed a partnership with Decentraland and The Sandbox; two foremost metaverse projects.

The partnership was confirmed via Twitter. It was a vague announcement that only mentioned that the basketballer is expected to, “bring history to the metaverse”.
This was accompanied by a hint on the launch’s web page that there would be a charity event with the purpose of, “bringing the joy of sports to every kid in the world’.

It appears that the basketball rockstar will also venture into NFTs because he announced a collaboration with American animator Floyd Norman and illustrator Andrea Mcdonald in his first NFT drop. He also disclosed that he intends to donate the proceeds from the drop to the charity he founded; Eat. Learn. Play.

The NFT collection is to be called Genesis Curry Flow and it will feature 2,974 distinct NFTs showcasing all 3-pointers the basketball champion has ever made. It will also celebrate the special aspects of his gameplay including his recent world record of the highest 3-point scorer, thus making him the greatest 3-point scorer in the history of basketball.
“The 2974 Collection commemorates the new all-time 3-point record achieved by Stephen Curry. There is one NFT for each 3-pointer, from his first to the record-setter. Each NFT also contains one of four sketches created entirely out of the number “2974,” along with the date, location, Stephen’s digital signature and any special moments associated with the game.”
The NFT collection promises holders a special piece of basketball history. It will also grant them access to gaming platforms like Decentraland, Gala Games, The Sandbox, and more. Each NFT has a value of $499.
