OnlyFans announced on Wednesday afternoon that it has suspended its plan to ban pornographic content on its platform.
The content subscription platform revealed the decision to reverse the ban was due to assurances from banking partners that all kinds of creators can be suspended.
Naija FM reported some days ago that the London-based company decided to ban porn following pressure from banking partners.
A statement that was released by the company earlier today reads:
“We have secured assurances necessary to support our diverse creator community and have suspended the planned October 1 policy change.”
“OnlyFans stands for inclusion and we will continue to provide a home for all creators.”
The company had been slammed by users after the decision to ban pornographic content creators who played a huge part in its success.
Founded in 2016, OnlyFans has more than 130 million users and over 2 million people create all sorts of content on the platform.
