Why Comedians Basketmouth and AY Won’t Stop Fighting

• Bright disclosed that his colleague “messed around with loyalty” by sharing personal information with his lawyer Magnus

• The 43-year-old comedian however revealed that they have settled the issue although they are no longer friends

Nigerian comedy legend Bright Okpocha popularly known as Basketmouth has opened up about his awkward relationship with AY.

Many have speculated that there was bad blood between the two since they failed to work together in all their years in the industry.

During a recent interview with Ebuka Obi-Uchendu on Black Box, Bright revealed why there is beef between them.

Basketnouth revealed that the reason that he doesn’t talk to AY anymore is becoming he messed with loyalty by disclosing private information to his lawyer Magnus.

The 43-year-old said that AY shared a secret with Magnus that was going to cause a rift between them.

“He said something that he wasn’t supposed to say. That was going to cause a rift between me and this person.
It was Magmus (Umeri), my lawyer. I said something to AY, and he told Magmus, and he wasn’t supposed to say it.”

Comedian Bright however revealed that they have since settled the issue and moved on.

He also dismissed speculations that the rift was caused because he snatched AY’s former protege Bovi.
