18-year-old Girl Survives Killer Crocodile Attack

A British teenager has lived to tell the story of her encounter with a crocodile and she is describing herself as “very lucky”.

18-year-old Amelie Osborn-Smith was at the Victoria Falls in Zambia with her friends when the 10ft killer reptile clamped down on her calf and dragged her into a death roll.

Her friends turned into heroes as they dived into the water after her and punched the crocodile in the nose it let her go.

She was then pulled out for the ate and lifted by air to an hospital in the capital Lusaka for emergency treatment.

While speaking from her hospital bed after she was out of danger she said:

“You don’t really think in that situation, obviously people say you see your life flash before your eyes or whatever but you don’t, you just think, ‘how do I get out of this situation?”

When the accident happened Amelie thought that she was going to lose her foot and had already resigned to her fate.

However, when the doctors revealed that nothing had happened to her foot, it proved to be a relief.
