Zlatan Ibrahimovic has issued a warning to his former club Manchester United, urging them to stop living in the past.

The outspoken swede made this comment while speaking about the recent sacking of manager Ole Gunnar Solksjaer on Monday.

Following a humiliating 4-1 defeat Watford on Saturday that left Manchester United 8th on the Premier League table, Ole was axed.

Ibrahimovic believes that one of Manchester United’s major problems is that they talk too much about their past glory.

While speaking to the Guardian, he said:

‘They talk too much about the past…
‘But when you have too much it becomes like a loop.
‘You have to think about the present or you should go to a hospital and clean your head.’

The prolific Swedish goal scorer disclosed that when he when to the club, he was intent on writing his own stories. Which is why he won trophies.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic was a Manchester United player for two seasons, during which time he won the League Cup and the Europa League.
