Tottenham Hotspur is currently pushing to sign the former manager of rivals Chelsea, Antonio Conte.
The London club wants Conte to replace Nuno Espirito Santo and his coaching staff who was fired on Monday.
Santo was relieved of his job after a 3-0 drubbing at the hands of Manchester United on Saturday evening.
The former Wolves boss spent only 4 months at the club after the board lost faith following their recent poor run of form.
Tottenham announced his dismissal via their website:
“The Club can today announce that Nuno Espírito Santo and his coaching staff Ian Cathro, Rui Barbosa, and Antonio Dias have been relieved of their duties,”
After the announcement, football journalist, Fabrizio Romano announced that Tottenham is making strides in a move to sign Antonio Conte as a replacement for Nuno.
Subsequently, he announced that the Italian had been flown to London to complete the signing of a two-year deal.

Conte is expected to sign until 2023 after agreements about important plans for the next transfer window.
Antonio Conte last worked in England with London Club Chelsea, leading the European Champions to their last league title in 2017.
