According to reports in Spain, Barcelona forward Sergio Aguero is set to be sidelined after being diagnosed with arrhythmia.

The former Manchester City striker who joined from England was withdrawn in the 1-1 draw against Alaves after feeling a pain in his chest.

Aguero jumped for the ball against an Alaves defender Victor Laguardia in the first half and felt the discomfort after landing.

The 33-year-old was rushed straight to the hospital in an ambulance as Philippe Coutinho came on as his replacement.

Marca has now confirmed that the forward will have to complete a full examination of his heart in the next few days to find the full extent of the problem.

Catalan outlet SPORT also claimed that the striker suffered some irregularities with his heart rhythm, a similar condition to which he suffered when he was 12.
