Former Chelsea Captain John Terry has announced that he is bidding to buy 10% ownership in Chelsea football club as part of a consortium.
The consortium called “True Blues” plans to buy a fraction of the stakes in the club and sell it to supporters.
Chelsea fans would be able to buy into the set-up for as little as £100 as the consortium works with the club’s eventual owner(s).
Asides from John Terry, former Chelsea women’s player Claire Rafferty has also put her name to the consortium.
The group has also contacted the Raine Group, the bank in charge of Chelsea’s sale. Chelsea Pitch Owners, who own the Stamford Bridge freehold and supporters trust have also backed this consortium.
