Elon Musk’s Fortune Surges to $232 Billion as Tesla Stocks Gain Big

Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla Inc and SpaceX continues to be the richest person in the world, as the wealth of the billionaire surged to $232 billion on Friday.

The 50-year-old added $8 billion to his fortune at the end of the trading week as Tesla’s stocks jumped 4%.

The 4% gain has pushed the market valuation of the electric car company to $935 billion, as it edges closer to the $1 trillion mark that was attained in September last year.

Despite the strong gains, the tech billionaire is still $38.8 billion short of his wealth valuation from the start of the year.

According to Elon Musk’s recent tweet, Tesla’s stock is gaining momentum as it is currently working on Part 3 of its “master plan”.

Part 3 would focus more on autonomy and the company’s plan to expand its vehicle line to more segments.

With the billionaire’s recent gain, he is now $46 billion richer than his closest rival Jeff Bezos, who is currently worth $186 billion, according to Bloomberg Billionaires Index.
