Nigerian singer Wizkid and Tems have both made former US President Barack Obama’s 2020 favorite music for their song ‘Essence’
Mr Obama, 59, revealed this in a tweet on Saturday, saying that he setup the list with help from Sasha, his youngest daughter
“Here are some of my favorite songs of the year. As usual, I had some valuable consultation from our family music guru, Sasha, to put this together. I hope you find a new song or two to listen to,” he wrote.
‘Essence’ is track 11 on Wizkid’s fourth studio album Made In Lagos (MIL) which was named by The Guardian as one of the top 100 album of the year.
In early August, Burna Boy Davido and WizKids were included in Obama’s 2020 summer playlist.
Meanwhile, we reported earlier that the Nigerian government has directed all telecommunication operators to deregister all SIM cards that are not synchronized with the National Identity Number (NIN) by December 30th 2020.
