‘America’s Got Talent’ contestant, Jane Marczewski, popularly known by her stage name Nightbirde, has passed away. Her family announced her death on Monday, revealing that the 31-year-old eventually gave up after a 4-year battle with cancer.
Marczewski had gained millions of followers across the world when she made appearances as a contestant on the NBC reality TV show, ‘America’s Got Talent’. She drew admiration from the audience, viewers, and the judges, with the performance of her song that melted hearts.
Nightbirde told the judges the story of her battle with cancer that had spread to her lungs, spine, and liver. She then went on to thrill them by singing her own song “It’s okay”. Judge Simon Cowell pressed a “Golden Buzzer’ that allowed her to qualify to the next round of the competition but unfortunately, she had to pull out as she struggled with the disease.
In s statement confirming her passing, her family disclosed that she had battled with the disease for 4 years and died on Feb. 19, 2022. Since her passing was announced, many have posted a tribute to the music star, including ‘America’s Got Talent’.
