John Stahl: Game of Thrones Star Dies Aged 68

John Stahl, one of the actors in the hit TV series, Game of Thrones, has passed away, according to a statement released by his agent Amanda Fitzalan Howard. The actor who played the role of Rickard Karstack in the series died on the Isle of Lewis in Scotland.

Lord Rickard Karstark was the Lord of Karhold and the head of House Karstark, a vassal of House Stark in the series.

The actor’s agent, Amanda Fitzaland described heaped praises on the deceased while confirming his death on Friday.
She said:

“John was an actor of remarkable skill and stalwart of Scottish theatre, where he appeared in numerous production as well as The Royal Shakespeare Company and The National Theatre.”

Asides from his role on Game of Thrones, Stahl had a long-standing role as “Inveradarroch” in soap, “Take the High Road” between 1982 and 2003.

The actor passed away on the 2nd of March but the cause of death remains undisclosed. He was survived by his wife, Jane Paton.
