Nigeria multi award winning singer Wizkid has called out a fellow musician Reekado Banks for promoting a sing with the #ENDSARS hashtag.
Wizkid whose real name is Ayodeji Balogun had earlier announced the postponement of his Made in Lagos album owing to the current demonstration happening across the nation
Reekado Banks who was formerly with Mavins Record under Don Jazzy, did a collaboration with Wizkid and was promoting the release of the song online with the #ENDSARS hashtag. Reekado Banks whose real name is Ayoleyi Solomon didn’t officially get a nod fromWizkid whom he featured on the song before tagging hoim in his promotional tweet.
This move, coupled with the prevailing circumstance in the country that has seen many youths troop to the street to call for an end to police brutality made Wizkid responded in a manner unlike he is known for.
We reported earlier that Wizkid has suspended his Made in Lagos album launch originally slated for today. His decision to put a hold on his music album that has kept fans on their toes can be traced to the ongoing #ENDSARS protest that has taken over major discuss in Nigeria, and it is one in which Wizkid himself is an active participant.
Wizkid had few days ago joined the #ENDSARS protest in front of the British Council, London, United Kingdom. Prior to that moment, he had publicly called out the Nigerian president, Mohammed Buhari and even engaged a presidential media aide on issues bothering on police brutality in Nigeria.
