A new wave of protest against police brutality has erupted at the Lekki Tollgate in Lagos.
We could recall that the #ENDSARS protest calling for the ban of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, a unit of the Nigerian police became a global movement that drew support from international figures including Preaident-Elect of the United States, Joe Biden.
Although the Nigerian government made several attempt to pacify the protesters by dissolving the SARS unit and mandating every state to set up a panel of inquiry to respond to petition against SARS.
And with many of the panels still sitting and taking inventory of petitions, Nigerians have reconvene at the Lekki Tollgate to spearhead another wave of protest.
