Last week, blockchain-based online video games reached a milestone of more than $4 billion in lifetime sales for NFT.
The Ethereum-based video game which was created by Vietnamese software studio Sky Mavis has become very popular during the last 12 months.
The game’s native digital currency axie infinity (AXS) has also gone up by 2,544% against the U.S. dollar from last year.
Metrics indicate that more than 53,000 people are holding AXS tokens and out of those, and out of 166,870 Axies, there are 42,276.
Today, the average Axie Infinity sale price is $198.77 and the project has recorded 1,905,222 traders, according to lifetime statistics.
Despite the lifetime sales milestone, Axie NFT sales are down by more than 40% during the last seven days.

While Axie Infinity is an Ethereum-based project that makes use of the Ronin network to avoid congestion and high fees.
24-hour Axie NFT sales metrics show the project has seen $2.2 million in sales from 17,731 buyers and it is the third-largest in all-time NFT sales.
