Russian President Vladimir Putin is currently in isolation after members of his inner circle tested positive for Coronavirus.
Kremlin has however reported that the leader of the European nation has tested negative for the virus and is completely “healthy”.
The president gave more information about his situation during a government meeting on Tuesday morning.
Putin who has already been vaccinated with Russia-made Sputnik vaccine had several indoor engagements on Monday.
The president also exchanged handshakes with Russian Paralympic athletes and pinned medals on them.
Vladimir Putin said
“It’s a natural experiment. Let’s see how Sputnik V works in practice,” Putin said. “I have quite high levels of antibodies. Let’s see how that plays out in real life. I hope everything will be as it should be.”
The 68-year-old president also stated that the sudden change has forced him to cancel a planned trip to Tajikistan this week for regional security meetings about Afghanistan.
The Russian government has come under fire severely recently for its failure to impose measures to curb the spread of the virus as death tolls increase.
At the moment, Russia’s death toll is at its highest as the country averages 800 fatalities daily.
