THE National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA) has disclosed that Nigeria has received a total of 10m doses of COVID 19 vaccine to aid its effort against the ongoing pandemic.
The disclosure was made by the agency following the reception of 501,600 doses of AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccines from France.
The vaccines were delivered into Nigeria on Monday, October 4, 2021, through the COVAX facility.
While speaking at the NPHCDA in Abuja, the Executive Director, Dr. Faisal Shuaib revealed that the vaccines received comprise Astrazeneca, Moderna, Johnson & Johnson, and Pfizer brands.
Dr. Shuaib expressed appreciation to the countries that donated the vaccines on behalf of the federal government.
” It is indeed gratifying to say that France has not only been a dependable development ally to Nigeria but has been quite brotherly in all ramifications.”

Faisal assured everyone that the federal government has put in the appropriate measures to ensure the equitable distribution of the vaccines.
