COVID 19: Nigeria Excluded From UK Red List

  • The United Kingdom has released an update to its COVID 19 travel rules for vaccinated travelers, cutting countries on the red list down to 7
  • Fully vaccinated Nigerians will now be allowed to visit England without providing a pre-departure test
  • Panama, Colombia, Venezuela, Peru, Ecuador, Haiti, and the Dominican Republic are the only countries remaining on the red list

The United Kingdom has changed its COVID 19 travel rule for vaccinated people from Nigeria.

The country has disclosed that from Monday 11 October 2021, fully vaccinated travelers from Nigeria will be allowed to enter England without pre-departure tests.

This is on the condition that the passengers will book and pay for a COVID 19 test on their second day of arrival.

This information was disclosed as part of the statement that was released by the government on Thursday 7 October 2021.

It comes after the government announced that it was going to scrap the red, green, and amber travel rule and replace it with a single red list.

As a part of the report, the country has disclosed that the vaccines recognized include AstraZeneca, Pfizer, Moderna, and Janssen.

Two doses of the COVID 19 vaccine must also have been received before travelers will be allowed into England.
