The world’s richest man, Elon Musk revealed on Monday that he had tested positive for COVID 19 again. The billionaire’s tweet however states that he is experiencing almost “no symptoms” from the virus.
The Tesla CEO also went on the label COVID 19 the virus of Theseus, asking how many changes before it is no longer COVID 19.
In metaphysics, The ship of Theseus is a thought experiment that questions whether an object remains fundamentally the same when all of its components have been replaced.
Covid-19 is the virus of Theseus.

Musk’s reference questions if the COVID 19 virus remains the same after undergoing multiple mutations since it became a global menace in 2020. Variants such as Delta, Omicron, and Deltacron have emerged from the original variant. According to the World Health Organization, there have been 6.12 million COVID deaths recorded globally, with 3,142 coming from Nigeria.

This is not the first time that Elon Musk has raised questions about the pandemic. In November 2020, he queried the results of a COVID 19 test after claiming that results showed that he had tested positive and negative for COVID twice on the same day. The 50-year-old later claimed that he had “most likely” had a mild case of COVID 19.
