The Chinese government has announced that it will be donating 470,000 doses of COVID vaccine to Nigeria.
The information was passed by the Chinese Ambassador to Nigeria, Mr CUI Jianchun while he offered the vaccine to Nigerian Minister of Health, Dr Osagie Ehanire in Abuja on Friday.

Mr Jianchun claimed that the donation was a result of the good relationship between the two countries.
The Chinese ambassador also urged people against blaming china for the outbreak of the deadly disease.
Jianchu claimed that COVID-19 is a health issue and unity with other countries is required to defeat it.
Finally, the Chinese ambassador told Nigeria to look forward to more collaboration with the sole aim of defeating the disease.
Also, Nigeria’s Health Minister Dr Osagie Ehanire praised the effort of the Chinese government.
The minister also hinted that the latest COVID vaccine donation may help the country resume vaccination after it was caused earlier this month.
In addition, Nigeria is expected to receive almost 4 million doses of vaccine from the COVAX facility early in August.
