COVID-19 Protocol Violation: FG Set to Arrest 63 Nigerians and 27 Foreigners
The Federal Government withdrew the visas issued to 27 foreigners and declared 63 Nigerians as Persons of Interest for escaping the compulsory 7 days quarantine for anyone arriving from any of the restricted countries.

They also organized a search for the 90 travellers, who were described as dangerous threats to public health for their inability to abide by the compulsory arrival quarantine for passengers arriving from the countries (India, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, and Brazil) where a new and deadly COVID-19 variant is vastly spreading.
This disclosure was made in a public statement released on Sunday, May 23, 2021, by Mr Boss Mustapha, the Secretary to the Government of the Federal (SGF) and also the Chairman, Presidential Steering Committee (PSC) on COVID-19.
He stated that Nigerians should be careful of those Persons of interest (Violators) who arrived at Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport, Abuja and Muritala Mohammed International Airport, Lagos between May 8 and 15, 2021, as they are posed as a health hazard to the society.

For the first time, the Federal Government released the names and the passport numbers of the defaulters.
