The federal government has been advised to approve the use of China-manufactured COVID 19 vaccines in Nigeria.
Although China’s vaccines have been approved in 100 countries worldwide and 44 in Africa, Nigeria is yet to approve them for use.
The Editor-in-Chief of Diplomatic Extra, Mr. Raphael Oni as urged Nigeria to reconsider its stand on the vaccines from China.
He stated that China has shown a willingness to donate the vaccines and Nigeria needs to consider accepting due to shortage.
Oni stated that the country’s vaccines have received authoritative recognition internationally, attesting to their safety and effectiveness.

He also urged medical practitioners in the country to also pressure the government into approving the vaccines.
So far Nigeria has vaccinated 5,763,561 people, according to the NPHCDA. This is only 5.2 percent of the country’s targeted population.
